Pioneers. O, Pioneers.
To those who hunt for new horizons.
And whose minds are bonfires of curiosity.
To those whose legs ache to explore.
And whose souls crave to expand.
We seek you.
Mountains change, albeit slowly, through erosion and gravity, the growth of the forest and the cutting power of water. Communities also change — less slowly, but just as importantly — with new ideas and new families joining together to create what they desire from their community.
Embark in the pursuit of wild discovery.
Imagine trails and paths that lead to amazing vistas, communal yoga platforms, outdoor art, rolling huts, creative spaces and places where nature can inform your thoughts, ideas and adventures. We are setting our amenities in the same altitude band as our Tree House base camp, so everything can be accessed by the entire family.
Mountainside is being woven between trails, trees and ski runs, and fashioned together by places of connection — connection to nature, to family, to ourselves.
Connect in the ultimate luxury mountain base camp

The 25 homesites of M25 offer views, trees and ski-ways unmatched in Tahoe. Each generous site offers a different panorama of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Martis Valley; each with unlimited possibility for creating a custom home in your own mountainside style. Currently, a number of custom homes are under construction, with a fall 2015 completion.
At Tahoe, blue sky is great, green building is better and LEED certification is best; Mountainside at Northstar builds to LEED specifications. Stellar Residences and Townhomes are pre-wired for solar and EV charging, and built with Low-E glass and Low VOC materials for happy, cozy, healthy homes. This year, we’re installing drought-tolerant landscaping throughout the community. Mountainside at Northstar amenities, like Tree House, are both built right and scaled right – highly efficient, they require fewer resources than the grand lodges of old, incur lower costs from an HOA standpoint, yet offer every luxurious comfort and connection to the outdoors.
The Northstar community is changing, and as we see it embraced by adventure‑seekers young and old, Mountainside Partners is adapting to that change. This year we will officially introduce Mountainside at Northstar, a community both on the mountain and of the mountain, located between the Village at Northstar and The Ritz‑Carlton, Lake Tahoe.
Situated less than 15 minutes from North Tahoe and Truckee, Mountainside sits cozily minutes away from some of the area’s most coveted outdoor experiences and access to authentic mountain living.
Our new Outfitters, based in Mountainside’s community Tree House, are your family’s personal adventure concierge. They’re expert resources who know where to hike with the youngest members of your clan, where to go for first tracks, how to find the best paddleboard instructors in the Tahoe basin and the best time to make reservations anywhere. Part guide, part teacher and entirely enthusiastic, they’ll be the people you turn to before you head out anywhere.
The Ritz-Carlton is your Mountainside neighbor with legendary hospitality just a stroll from your home. Its Living Room is an extension of yours; its Backyard Bar & BBQ a home of smoked connoisseurship and s’mores; and its Manzanita restaurant a fine dining adventure. Spa, fitness and other delights await.
At Mountainside, a gondola gets you everywhere. It can whisk you down to The Village at Northstar with its restaurants, coffee shops and deli, famed ice and roller skating rink, plush and cozy rinkside cabanas, shopping and lively walkable streets and events. And when you’ve had your fill of activities and festivals, the gondola will take you back home.
Every resident also enjoys access to membership to the Tahoe Mountain Club, granting exclusive access to The Golf Club at Gray’s Crossing, and the Jack Nicklaus Signature Old Greenwood and Schaffer’s Camp, a ski-in, ski-out dining experience at the top of Northstar Mountain.
The community at Mountainside nestled into Northstar at 6,800 feet, is unlike any other in Tahoe. It’s a neighborhood of many possibilities — there’s a vast network of winter and summer trails on the doorstep that weave together iconic open spaces, mountains and lakes; the year- round buzz of Village at Northstar is a stroll or gondola ride from home; The Ritz-Carlton, steps away, offers some of the best dining, leisure and comforts you’ll find anywhere in the mountains.
